Huawei reportedly partners with European chipmaker amid US restrictions

Huawei might be aiming to its European companions as the US tightens its grip on providers. The controversial Chinese company is collaborating with French-Italian STMicroelectronics to create mobile as well as automotive chips, according to Nikkei.

The step comes as US authorities consider limitations that ‘d force suppliers to make an application for licenses if they utilize American tools to build chips for Huawei.
